What is FSR Construction?
On all CalMark Covers, we install 2" 1000 pound test
Nylon (non-Abrasive) webbing straps that are sewn across the
inside top, every 4 feet. They are connected to the side panels.
Why Do I need Fabric Stress Reinforcement
(FSR) in my RV Cover?
The weights of the side panels are continuously putting stress
on the top panel mainly due to the weight of the side panel
fabric alone. Exposure to the harsh elements of Mother Nature
(e.g. wind, rain, snow, and ice) adds additional stress to
the fabric on the top panel where the exposure to Mother Nature
is the greatest. CalMark's rib cage FSR construction provides
the added support needed to offset these long-term effects
in the top panel area.
Reducing stress to the fabric will greatly slow down
long-term fiber breakdown.
What is Fiber Breakdown?
Fiber breakdown is a chemical and physical weakening
of the fabric fibers caused by the Ultra-Violet (UV) radiation
from sunlight. This process is greatly accelerated when the
fabric fibers are pulled apart due to the stress described
above. This disintegration process occurs in all fabrics,
some more than others, especially if the UV rating of the
fabric is less than it should be. All of CalMark's fabrics
are made in the USA and have the highest UV rating available.
Fiber breakdown means a shorter lifetime of the cover, less
protection of your RV, and costly cover replacement.
How Do I know FSR is the Answer?
Don't just take our word for it. Check with other RV owners
who have experienced the headache of returning RV covers that
did not have Fabric Stress Reinforcement.
Why a Full Warranty versus a Pro-Rated
Warranty?
CalMark builds covers to last. With our FSR Technology (100%
USA fabrics and labor), CalMark has led the industry in RV
protection for over 20 years. We are confident as is indicated
by our FULL WARRANTY versus the Pro-Rated Warranty offered
on the majority of other covers in the industry.
